Approximating evidence via bounded harmonic means (and HPD regions with known volumes)

A recent collaboration between Christian Hennig and PhD student Dana Naderi is breathing new life into a method for evidence approximation that was first proposed in 2009. This work, which builds on earlier research published in the Physical Review, aims to refine the approach and its applications. The significance of this research lies in its potential to enhance statistical methods, making them more robust and applicable in various fields, which could lead to more accurate data interpretations.
