TSMC sues former VP for allegedly taking trade secrets to Intel

Taiwanese prosecutors have raided the homes of Wei-Jen Lo, a former executive of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), following allegations that he leaked sensitive information to Intel Corp. This action comes after TSMC filed a lawsuit against Lo for allegedly violating his non-compete agreement and the Trade Secrets Act by taking trade secrets to Intel.

President Trump is actively pursuing a trade agreement with Taiwan aimed at expanding U.S. chipmaker operations, particularly encouraging major Taiwanese firms like TSMC to enhance their presence in the U.S. and assist in training American workers in high-tech manufacturing.
