Hearst Networks EMEA is teaming up with UK production companies Spirit Studios and BossaNova to create a two-part documentary series about Ed Gein, the infamous American serial killer who inspired countless horror films. Titled Ed Gein: Original Psycho, the project comes hot on the heels of Netflix’s Monster series, which also explored Gein’s gruesome crimes. The collaboration highlights the enduring fascination with true crime—especially when it involves figures as chillingly influential as Gein.
