Award-winning filmmaker Eisha Marjara's film 'Calorie' will have its Asian premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The trailer for the coming-of-age drama, which recently won multiple awards at Toronto's IFFSA festival, has been unveiled by Compass Productions ahead of the screening.

Australia's National Indian Film Festival (NIFFA) is expanding into regional territories and has signed partnerships with India's National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) ahead of its 2026 edition. The festival, which spans seven Australian capital cities including Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, will add six regional locations for 2026.

Shekhar Kapur, the director of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), is focusing on technological innovation and audience engagement as the festival prepares for its 56th edition in Goa. Key priorities include the integration of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, enhancing the festival's global reach, and fostering international co-production opportunities.

Variety has exclusively unveiled a new clip from 'Lullaby for the Mountains,' the debut feature by Armenian filmmaker Hayk Matevosyan. The film is set to make its Asian premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), where it is the only Armenian selection. The project is executive produced by renowned Hungarian director Béla Tarr.
