Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani gets green light to hit in start vs. Rockies

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Shohei Ohtani will hit and pitch in the game against the Colorado Rockies, despite concerns after he was hit in the hand during a previous match. This decision reflects Ohtani's resilience and importance to the team.

Ohtani's ability to perform both as a pitcher and a hitter is crucial for the Dodgers, especially as they navigate a competitive season. His participation in the game against the Rockies is expected to bolster the team's performance and morale.

This situation highlights Ohtani's dual-threat capability, which has been a focal point for the Dodgers as they aim for success in the National League. His recent performances, including a strong outing against the San Francisco Giants, underscore his value and the pressure on him to maintain high standards amid fluctuating team dynamics.
