HHSAA adds surfing as state championship sport

Editor’s Note: This is a big deal for young surfers in Hawaii—it validates surfing as a legitimate competitive sport at the high school level, not just a casual pastime. Given Hawaii’s deep surfing culture, it’s surprising it took this long, but better late than never.
