As far as need-to-know information what is most important to understand is that Xander Schauffele is the defending champion, Justin Thomas won the event the last time it was held at Quail Hollow and that Rory McIlroy has won often at Quail Hollow... oh and Rory is also the reigning Players and Masters Champion.
Clearly there are a ton of storylines going on, I didn’t even mention Scottie Scheffler, so it stands to reason that you are going to want to watch all week long. Here is how you can do that.

The first round of the tournament will begin on Thursday, May 15th. Both the first and second rounds can be viewed on ESPN with additional coverage taking place on ESPN+.
