Brazil to Enforce 24-Hour Hold on $10K Crypto Transfers to Combat Fraud
Starting January 1, 2027, Brazil will implement a regulation requiring a 24-hour hold on cryptocurrency transfers exceeding $10,000. This measure aims to enhance fraud prevention by allowing Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) to conduct risk assessments on flagged transactions, including those sent to self-custody wallets and overseas providers.
