LA County Reports Child's Death from Measles Complication

Los Angeles County has confirmed the tragic death of a child due to a rare complication from a measles infection contracted in infancy. The child suffered from subacute sclerosing panencephalitis, a severe brain disorder that developed years after the initial infection, before the child could receive the vaccine.
