Immigration 'notario' scams coming back under Trump's crackdown, authorities warn

Scammers are once again preying on immigrants by pretending to be lawyers—a problem that seems to be resurfacing amid Trump's tough immigration policies. These fraudsters, often called "notarios," take advantage of confusion over the term "notary public" in the U.S. (where it doesn’t mean the same as in some Latin American countries) to swindle vulnerable people out of their money.
