Baby sea otter named Caterpillar rescued off central California coast

A baby sea otter named Caterpillar was rescued off the central California coast after being separated from its mother. The Marine Mammal Center in Morro Bay received a distress call about cries coming from the frigid waters, which were determined to be from the approximately two-week-old pup. The center's experts, in collaboration with the local harbor patrol, worked to reunite the pup with its mother.
