Hundreds of low-paid NHS hospital staff win improved terms after strike threat

More than 330 low-paid NHS hospital workers, primarily cleaners, caterers, and porters at the St George’s, Epsom and St Helier hospital group, voted overwhelmingly to strike. Following the threat of strike action, hospital management agreed to improve their terms and conditions, leading to a positive outcome for the workers.
