One million Australians missing specialist doctor appointments due to cost, report finds

A new report from the Grattan Institute reveals that healthcare costs are hitting Australians hard—so hard that around a million people are skipping specialist doctor visits because they can’t afford them. On average, one in 10 Australians shells out nearly $600 a year just for specialist appointments, forcing many to delay or forgo care altogether.
