‘Deep unease’ at BBC Radio Scotland as majority of axed presenters are women

BBC Radio Scotland has experienced significant changes under the leadership of Victoria Easton Riley, resulting in the dismissal of several respected arts presenters, with over half being women. This has led to a palpable sense of unease among staff regarding the future direction of the station.

The decision raises concerns about diversity in programming and suggests a shift towards a more commercially driven approach, which may impact the station's commitment to representing a broad spectrum of voices in its broadcasts.
