UN Security Council to vote on US plan for an international force in Gaza

UN Security Council members are set on Monday to vote on a US proposal for a UN mandate establishing an International Stabilization Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip tasked with securing border areas and demilitarising the war-torn Palestinian territory. The draft resolution also leaves the door open to future Palestinian statehood.
