Myanmar junta ends state of emergency as it prepares for elections

Myanmar's military government has lifted the country's state of emergency as it gears up for elections in December. But opposition groups are calling the whole process a sham, refusing to participate and accusing the junta of using the vote to make its rule look legitimate. International observers aren’t impressed either, raising serious doubts about whether the election will be free or fair.
