The WAVES Film Bazaar 2025 concluded in Goa on November 24, celebrating independent cinema and advancements in AI filmmaking. Awards were presented to notable projects such as 'Kakthet' and 'Ulta,' alongside cash grants and post-production services valued in millions of rupees.

Vikramaditya Motwane has joined the upcoming coming-of-age comedy film 'Teacher’s Pet' as an executive producer, with Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy set to direct. The film, which is set in an all-girls Catholic boarding school in India, is being showcased at the WAVES Film Bazaar, part of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

At the International Film Festival of India, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi engaged the audience with a dynamic on-stage conversation that blended storytelling, performance, and personal anecdotes. Chopra reflected on his cinematic journey, sharing insights from his early struggles and how they influenced his films, including 'Parinda,' '1942: A Love Story,' and '12th Fail.'

The New Zealand Film Commission is enhancing its film incentive packages as it aims to penetrate the Indian market and revive a co-production treaty that has seen minimal use over the past 15 years. This initiative was discussed by NZFC CEO Annie Murray in an interview with Variety ahead of the WAVES Film Bazaar in Goa.
